SMS tab (right rail)

Tab shown	User is Tenant Admin or Manager and tenant_sms is enabled for the tenant

Uses Firebase-backed chat UI:

• Thread with applicant on tenant SMS number
• Sends outbound SMS from the detail context
• Loads existing chat room/messages when present

Edge cases

Situation	Behavior
SMS not enabled	Tab omitted entirely
Missing applicant phone	Send may be blocked or warn in UI

Auditor: SMS tab may still appear if role is Manager/Admin; confirm internal policy. Notes and header actions remain Auditor-restricted.

Notes tab (right rail)

Internal-only commentary between agents.

Auditor warning: Notes composer is hidden. Auditors can read historical notes if returned by API but cannot add new ones.

Implementation notes

• Notes from Update Status may also append to app_notes server-side—Activity may show overlapping narratives.
• Notes are not emailed to applicants.
